As you can appreciate, in these current times, and with significant travel restrictions in place, there is no capacity for face-to-face courses to be delivered for the foreseeable future.

But fear not – as you would expect from someone that teaches business continuity – there was a plan in place ?.

To that end, Paladin Risk Management Services will recommence delivering courses as at 4th May 2020 through live streaming

Obviously, this will not be the same as delivering the course face-to-face, but the way it will be set up will still allow for questions to be asked by participants as the course is delivered. The only difference will be the fact that you won’t be able to network in the breaks and you will have to provide your own catering ?.

Rather than the courses being undertaken in one block, each intake will be staggered with approximately 2 weeks between each module.  This will allow participants to assimilate the information presented in each module and, allow for assessments to be completed as the course progresses (although that is not compulsory).

Course Structures

The Advanced Diploma of Governance, Risk and Compliance will be run as follows:

A total of 7 days.

The Diploma of Risk Management and Business Continuity will be run as follows:

A total of 5 days.

The Certificate IV in Risk Management Essentials will be run in conjunction with the Diploma of Risk Management and Business Continuity as follows:

A total of 3 days.

Also offered is the Risk Management Essentials (non-qualification) course.  The Risk Management Essentials will be run in conjunction with the Diploma of Risk Management and Business Continuity and Certificate IV in Risk Management Essentials as follows:

  • Enterprise Risk Management – 1 day
  • Manage Risk – 2 days

A total of 3 days.

Other Courses

There will also be a number of 1-day non-qualification courses also run throughout the year.  These include (but will likely be added to):

  • Managing risks in projects.
  • Business continuity management
  • Managing safety – a practical approach

All time limits on assessment completion dates relaxed

With many of us working from home, this might be an ideal time to finish the qualification you started but, life got in the way and you weren’t able to complete.

For those in that situation it is not too late.  I am waiving all time limits for qualifications to give as many people as possible the opportunity to complete the course.

The options are:

  • Simply contact me and I will provide you with the latest course contents and assessments via a Dropbox link.
  • Undertake a refresher course via the on-line streaming mentioned previously in this newsletter.  The costs are as follows:
    • Certificate IV in Risk Management Essentials: $300 – CODE: CERTREFRESH.
    • Diploma of Risk Management and Business Continuity: $500 – CODE: DIPREFRESH.
    • Advanced Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance: $700 – CODE: ADREFRESH.

If you wish to undertake a refresher course but will be self-funding please contact me as payment plans can be arranged.

What my previous students are saying to me in these current times ….

It is certainly a great time to have completed some studies on business continuity and risk management……

At this point, I just want to say how glad I am that I have already done your diploma on risk management (and also glad that I got our management team looking at communicable disease before Christmas!). Our BCPs are constantly evolving and I couldn’t have done this without all the guidance you provided.

BTW we are using the Business Continuity tools from the course to great effect – it has been very helpful!
